🌧️ My First Monsoon As A Walker

Last year — my walking streak was around Day 150 when monsoon hit Ahmedabad.

Day 1 of rain — I stood at my window at 6AM watching it pour.

My brain immediately offered me the easy way out —

"Streak todna nahi hai toh ghar pe hi kuch kar le."

But I knew myself.

One skipped outdoor walk becomes two. Two becomes a week. A week becomes — back to 100KG.

So I made a monsoon plan that day.

And it carried me through 11 straight days of rain without missing once.

✅ My Monsoon Walking System

Plan A — Gap walking
Rain in India is rarely continuous. It pours, then pauses. I started checking the sky every morning and walking in the gaps. Even 20-minute windows gave me 2,500 steps.

Plan B — Covered spaces
Building parking. Society corridor. Nearby mall before shops open. Boring? Yes. But 40 rounds of my parking = 6,000 steps. The floor does not care about weather.

Plan C — Indoor backup
On the worst days — walking inside my home while on phone calls. Room to room. 3,000-4,000 steps without stepping outside once.

The rule was simple — the location can change. The habit cannot.
