Hey,
Quick question —
What destroys more Indian weight loss journeys than anything else?
Not laziness. Not bad diets. Not lack of gyms.
Social events.
Weddings. Office parties. Festivals. Birthday dinners. Family functions.
In India — there is a food-heavy social event practically every week.
During my 18-month journey — I attended 14 weddings.
Countless office parties. Two Diwalis. Multiple birthdays.
And I still lost 25KG.
Here is my exact system.
🎉 The 3 Rules That Saved Me
Rule 1 — Never arrive hungry
The biggest mistake people make — skipping meals before a wedding to "save calories."
This backfires every time. You arrive starving and eat double.
My rule — normal breakfast, normal lunch, light snack before leaving. I arrive at the event satisfied, not starving.
A person who is not hungry makes calm choices. A starving person eats everything at the live counter.
Rule 2 — One plate. One trip.
Indian buffets are designed for multiple rounds.
My rule — I take ONE plate, fill it with whatever I genuinely want (yes, including dessert), and that is my meal.
No second trips. No "bas thoda aur."
I never restricted WHAT went on the plate. Only how many plates.
Rule 3 — The next morning is sacred
One heavy wedding dinner cannot make you gain weight.
What causes damage is the spiral — heavy dinner, skip the morning walk, heavy breakfast, "diet is ruined anyway," heavy week.
My rule — no matter how late the event ends, the next morning walk happens. Even a slow one. Even a short one.
The walk the morning after a wedding is the most important walk of the month.
It is not about calories. It is about identity. It tells your brain — the event was an exception, not a new direction.
💡 What I Never Did
Never skipped a wedding to "protect my diet" ❌
Never carried my own food like a patient ❌
Never announced my diet at the table ❌
Never felt guilty about enjoying one plate ❌
A weight loss system that cannot survive Indian social life is not a system.
It is a countdown to failure.
Build a system that includes weddings — because in India, weddings are not going anywhere. 😄
✅ Your Next Event Plan
Whatever your next event is — party, function, dinner —
Walk in with these 3 rules:
Eat normally before — never arrive starving
One plate, one trip — everything you want, once
Next morning walk — non-negotiable
That is the entire system. Enjoy the event. Protect the habit.
